Genshin Impact Sulfurous Veins Precious Chest unlock guide

A certain puzzle in the Sulfurous Veins area in Natlan rewards players with one Common Chest and one Precious Chest. While the Common Chest can be seen in plain sight, the Precious Chest is hidden and needs to be unlocked by completing a puzzle. The puzzle requires players to indwell a Tepetlisaurus and attack certain glowing spots on the ground. Doing so will complete it and unlock both the Common and Precious Chests.

Sulfurous Veins hidden Precious Chest location

The location for this puzzle is in the main Sulfurous Veins area. To get there, teleport to the main Sulfurous Veins waypoint and face south. You will notice a locked Common Chest with a few Tepetlisaurs and Tepetlisaur Whelps nearby. This place also has a Natlan Shrine of Depths close by.

Sulfurous Veins hidden Precious Chest unlock guide

The puzzle located in Sulfurous Veins rewards players with two chests. Follow these steps to unlock the Common Chest followed by the hidden Precious Chest:

Step 1: Indwell a Tepetlisaurus

This challenge requires you to indwell one of the nearby Tepetlisaurs to proceed further. Indwell any of the Tepetlisaurs in the area.

Step 2: Hit the first two glowing spots

In Tepetlisaurus form, burrow underground and hit the first glowing spot, located by two spotted rocks near the locked chest. You will get a few items once you do so. From here, head southwest and move to the next glowing spot by the three spotted rocks beside the Shrine of Depths. You will get a few more items from this spot as well.

Step 3: Hit the next two glowing spots

From the previous location, turn around and head northwest until you reach another group of three spotted rocks. Hit the glowing spot on the ground. Then, turn northwest and travel a short distance to three more spotted rocks and hit the glowing spot.

Step 4: Claim the common chest

Once you have hit all four glowing spots, the Common Chest will be unlocked. Head back to the chest and claim your rewards.

Step 5: Hit the glowing spot after opening the Common Chest

After you unlock the Common Chest, open it and claim the rewards. Burrow underground again and you will notice another glowing spot on the ground beneath. Hit this glowing spot to unearth the hidden Precious Chest and claim the rewards.
