Genshin Impact The Forest and the Princess quest guide

The Forest and the Princess is a limited-time quest in Genshin Impact's new area, Simulanka. It can only be done in version 4.8 as it is exclusive to the region. The quest requires you to help a princess squirrel find a relic by completing many challenges.

You can start The Forest and the Princess in Genshin Impact by heading over to the big origami tree located in the center of the Kingdom of Breezes and Bells in Simulanka. Approach the two squirrels on top of the box to start the quest.

Talk to Princess Cimest and undergo the trial

Jump down to the depths of the Kingdoms of Breeze and Bells to find Princess Cimest. Have a conversation with her to start the trial.

You have to help Princess Cimest pass through all the garlands in the trial. There are three sets of flying squirrel challenges to complete here.

The first two challenges are fairly easy to do. All you need to do to complete them is adjust the flight angle in a way that lights up the garlands and the flower. Princess Cimest can also go against wind currents, making these challenges much easier.

In the final challenge, pass through the first two garlands and the Furious Flower to activate the wind current. Once this is done, you can pass through all three garlands.

Glide over to the other side and make Princess Cimest fly back through four garlands to complete the trial.

Undergo another trial with Princess Cimest

Go to the northernmost teleport waypoint in the Kingdoms of Breeze and Bells to find a massive footprint of a dragon containing a relic. You will also find garlands on the ground. Talk to Princess Cimest and start the final trial in this quest.

The challenges are very straighforward in this trial. The only difficult part is timing Princess Cimest's flight with the moving garlands. Being patient and waiting for the right moment should help you here.

After completing two challenges, a bunch of Hilichurls will appear. Defeat them to proceed with the quest. Princess Cimest will do the final challenge by herself. Obtain the relic and chat with her to complete the quest.
