According to the latest leaks from Flying Flame, HoYoverse is expected to bring back the Chronicled Wish with the Genshin Impact 5.3 update, which is expected to go live on January 1, 2025. It is worth highlighting that the original Chronicled Wish banner in version 4.5 featured characters only from Mondstadt. However, this time, rumors claim that all featured units will be from Liyue.

Characters eligible for Liyue Chronicled Wish in Genshin Impact 5.3

To qualify for the Chronicled Wish banner, the event character must have appeared on an Event Wish at least three times. They also cannot have appeared on any other recent banners. Naturally, this narrows down the list quite a bit.

Assuming the Liyue Chronicled Wish follows the Mondstadt banner format and features six characters, Travelers can expect the following to be in the version 5.3 Chronicled Wish banner:

• Baizhu
• Ganyu
• Hu Tao
• Keqing
• Qiqi
• Tartaglia (a.k.a Childe)

Baizhu, Ganyu, and Hu Tao haven't appeared on any limited banner for a long time, so they are eligible for the Chronicled Wish. Meanwhile, one might argue that Childe is from Snezhnaya so he shouldn't be on Liyue's banner. However, he is listed in the Liyue category on the game's official website and is likely to be on the Chronicled Wish.

Lastly, despite being eligible, Xiao is not included in the list because version 5.3 is expected to celebrate the Lantern Rite festival and he always gets a banner during the event. Thus, one can expect the adepti to get a banner but not on the Chronicled Wish.
