Genshin Impact Wooden Model Alpaca puzzle location and chest guide

The Wooden Model Alpaca puzzle is a new puzzle in the area of Natlan, introduced in Genshin Impact 5.0. It requires players to pick up and correctly position three Wooden Model Alpaca pieces in their proper locations. Completing the puzzle rewards players with a Precious Chest. This puzzle isn't locked behind any world quests, so you can complete it just by heading over to its location.

The Wooden Model Alpaca puzzle is in the Sulfurous Veins area. To get there, teleport to the northernmost waypoint in the Sulfurous Veins region (the one at the northern edge of the Natlan 5.0 map). The Wooden Model Alpaca puzzle is right beside the waypoint, so you need not leave the Teleport Waypoint area.

Genshin Impact Wooden Model Alpaca puzzle: Solution

The Wooden Model Alpaca puzzle is sufficiently easy, and you can complete it quickly by following these steps:

Step 1: Teleport to the aforementioned waypoint

Teleport to the northernmost waypoint in the Sulfurous Veins area, and jump straight down (facing exactly southeast). You will notice a fenced pen, with a few Wooden Model Alpacas inside it. Walk up to the area.

Step 2: Click on the "Read" option

You will find a signboard right in front of the entrance to the fenced area, with an option that says "Read." Walk up close to the signboard and click on that option. Reading the sign displayed on the signboard will give you directions for what you have to do with the pieces, i.e., place them at the right spots marked with graffiti.

Step 3: Pick up three Wooden Model Alpaca pieces

Even though there are five Wooden Model Alpacas in the pen, you can pick up only three. Walk around and collect all three Wooden Model Alpacas.

Step 4: Place the first Wooden Model Alpaca on the flat rock

Directly in front of the pen, you will see a flat rock marked with colorful graffiti. Place one Wooden Model Alpaca on the rock by clicking on the "Place" option.

Step 5: Place the second and third Wooden Model Alpacas on the tall rocks

From the previous location, turn straight south and you will notice two tall rocks also marked by graffiti. Head over to the rocks, and climb to place the second and third Wooden Model Alpacas on top of the rocks. Use the "Place" option to place both the Wooden Model Alpacas.

Once you have placed all three Wooden Model Alpacas, the puzzle will be complete, and you will get a Precious Chest as a reward.
