According to reports, the ability to undelete characters is a new feature of the upcoming pre-Warlords of Draenor content patch which was introduced by Blizzard Entertainment. There is a catch though, as expected; you won’t be able to bring back that just any characters of yours that you deleted years ago. The World of Warcraft blog has laid down a certain set of conditions according to which you will be or won't be able to recover characters that fall into the following categories:
- Characters under level 10 and Death Knights at level 55 are not eligible to be undeleted.
- Characters between level 10 and level 29 will no longer be recoverable after 90 days.
- Characters between level 30 and 49 will no longer be recoverable after 120 days.
- All other characters level 50 and above are eligible to be undeleted at any time.
- Please keep in mind you will only be able to use the undelete option once every 30 days.
- Undeleting a character restores all of its enchantments, gems, and items fully intact. You’ll be able to get back into action right away
However, there is one question that is on the minds of a lot WoW players and that is, whether one can use this feature to recover characters deleted years ago or not. Blizzard hasn’t officially confirmed any details, but one General Manager on the blog said that "it may be likely, depending on how high the character was before deletion."
