Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is an action-based game that will be released in October 2022. The game is developed and published by IllFonic. It is a fun multiplayer game perfect for all skill levels where players can play as either the Ghostbusters or the Ghosts.

The game centers around the idea where four proton-pack-wielding Ghostbusters attempt to catch a Ghost haunting unique locations in asymmetrical multiplayer battles (online or offline). As players progress, they will unlock cosmetics and upgrades for both Ghostbusters and Ghosts to evolve their gameplay experiences.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Gameplay

Four players can play the game at the same time and can choose the role of a Ghostbuster or a Ghost. Players can create their own Ghostbuster and can also customize the ghost's appearance by visiting Ray’s Occult Books. It is a first-person shooter game. However, the ghosts are controlled from a third-person perspective.

The ghost will first terrorize everyone in a location by making loud noises or possessing objects, while the Ghostbusters will try to capture the ghost, undo the damage caused and get the crowd to calm down. Though the game features asymmetrical gameplay, gamers can also choose to fight against an AI-controlled ghost.
