The Marvel Rivals community recently pointed out that the game lacks Mouse Acceleration options in the settings menu. This became an issue, as the game kept the feature turned on by default and could affect one’s aim when playing on mouse and keyboard. Fortunately, the developers have taken note of this and announced on the official Discord about the development of a solution. @mmmmmmmmiller created a post on X and highlighted an image of this message while saying:
“GOODBYE MOUSE ACCELERATION”
@mmmmmmmmiller’s X post contained a cropped screenshot where one of the devs acknowledged player feedback about mouse acceleration and the team is working on a solution that would likely be dispatched in the Season 1 update. This reply caught the attention of the community.

@AbbyAZK commented about the general problem and questioned if mouse acceleration had such a drastic effect on gaming. The original poster replied to this question and explained how the feature works and its detrimental effects when a player uses a mouse to aim while playing Marvel Rivals.
@LiveFreeForFun cited that they hope the devs introduce a dedicated option in the settings menu instead of simply removing mouse acceleration from the game. The presence of a toggle option would help fans decide for themselves if they want to play the game with the feature on or off; since a percentage of the community feels the aiming works fine even with acceleration.
Another X user @RiskE80_ chimed in with joy and stated that they appreciate the proactive nature of the devs team. It is quite refreshing to see that the creators of the game are actively taking note of the feedback provided by the player base. This interaction between fans of Marvel Rivals and the devs is important and can help keep the game balanced for the entire community.
@HytaleLost commented that since the devs are listening to feedback, they might want to suggest some character changes. It is no surprise that the game has a few quirks like character balance issues, as the game released recently and the devs need to deploy a few patches before Marvel Rivals can provide an even better gameplay experience.
Can mouse acceleration be turned off in Marvel Rivals?
Yes, you can turn off mouse acceleration in Marvel Rivals. The game currently does not have any options in the settings cluster that would allow you to do so from within the game.
You would need to disable the mouse acceleration feature in Windows directly from the Mouse Settings in the Control Panel. All you need to do is turn off “Enhance Pointer Precision” and click on “Apply” to completely disable acceleration.

However, you can disable the mouse acceleration feature only for the game. But this is a risky venture, as you would have to alter one of the game files by accessing the root folder where Marvel Rivals is installed. It is better to wait for the Season 1 update, as the devs will likely add an in-game option for it that will allow everyone to turn it on or off, depending on their personal preference.
