Gotham Knights is almost upon us. Following the release of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015, it will be the first game set in the Batman universe in seven years. Gotham Knights, on the other hand, is set to deliver something entirely new: an open-world action RPG in which you fight to pick up the pieces after Bruce Wayne's untimely death.
The game's co-operative action, expansive interpretation of Gotham City, and its four playable characters—Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin—were all highlighted during its official unveiling in 2020 by developer WB Games Montreal. However, while it was initially planned for a 2021 release, delays and other issues forced a delay and now it is finally scheduled to be released in October 2022.
What is the story of Gotham Knights?
It is based on the Batman: Gotham Knights comic series and takes place after the untimely deaths of Bruce Wayne (Batman) and Police Commissioner James Gordon. As a result, crime and police corruption have multiplied tenfold in Gotham City, as a brand new criminal underworld gradually takes over the city. After receiving a message from Batman, gamers take on the roles of Batman's former proteges - Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), Dick Grayson (Nightwing), Tim Drake (Robin), and Jason Todd (Red Hood) - to continue his legacy by protecting the city of Gotham.
