Grand Theft Auto 5 DLC Coming Soon

It’s almost exactly a year since Rockstar Games announced a DLC for Grand Theft Auto V, scheduled for arrival in 2014. As per the developers, it would expand on the game's story with several other minor modifications. Well, the year’s almost up and a DLC for GTA V is nowhere to be seen. Moreover, there hasn’t even been any solid discussion or a defining announcement regarding the same.

"We have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin, and Trevor's action, mayhem, and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas," Rockstar said that time. Now, Shawn Fonteno, Franklin's voice actor has come up with an interesting statement in a recent interview with Jack Thriller. "We're working on the DLC, downloadable content, for Grand Theft Auto V and that's real big," said Fonteno. "That's first on my list, to finish that up," he further specified.

The story isn’t confirmed as of now, with Fonteno possibly working just for a cameo in the upcoming multiplayer Heists mode. However, it does make sense for Rockstar to focus their attention on story DLC now that Heists and the current-generation versions of the game are almost out of the way.

GTA V was originally released in September 2013 for last-generation consoles. The game launched for current-generation machines last month. The game arrives for PC late in the month of January. GTA Online Heists will be available in early 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
