Rebs Gaming revealed Halo Infinite's cut campaign

The Halo community was in shock after viewing Rebs Gaming’s YouTube video on the unpublished campaign content of Halo Infinite. 343 Industries seems to have come close to ruining the major development part of the campaign and skipped important content that might’ve attracted the gaming community outside the Halo fanbase.

First on our list of unpublished content is the UNSC Infinity. According to the storyline, the UNSC Infinity ship was destroyed in the battle of Zeta Halo. It was supposed to be a HUB for the Master Chief, scientists, and soldiers who provided players with some quests.

Secondly, 343 Industries morphed the Infinity HUB (related to Halo 5 Project Infinity) into a basic UNSC compound, and some of these HUBs were again scrapped as simple Forward Operating Bases. This was a heavy loss for the Halo fanbase, as players might’ve enjoyed those Infinity HUBs more than these operating bases.

Thirdly, the company initially had a larger map idea for the campaign. Similar to Far Cry 5, the map was supposed to have different stronghold areas with distinct factions. The factions were planned to have designated Warlords alongside barracks, vehicles, and weapon bases. These Warlords were also slated to have personalized logos on their vehicles.

Furthermore, 343 planned to implement the weapon and other utility upgrade systems, taking inspiration from Ghost Recon Wildlands. However, the company failed to implement this plethora of ideas in the end, suffering a significant loss in its player base.

Lastly, 343 Industries also took inspiration from Mass Effect Andromeda, planning to add different dungeons in the early stage of the game. However, this idea didn’t make it to the final edition of the game either.

Despite the plethora of content that couldn’t make it to the published edition, every cloud has a silver lining. The open world of Zeta Halo, inspired by The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, caught the Halo community by storm.
