Hide in Plain Sight in Escape from Tarkov: How to complete and rewards

Hide in Plain Sight is an event mission in Escape from Tarkov that players can complete to acquire various rewards. Unlike other missions of the new Khorovod event, finishing this one is quite easy, since gamers just have to load into several maps and locate some Christmas trees. Near the trees, some small market-like structures can be seen that spawn valuable loot.

Hide in Plain Sight in Escape from Tarkov event quest guide

Upon finishing all of the following objectives, the Hide in Plain Sight mission in Escape from Tarkov will be completed:

• Find where the Christmas tree is located on Customs
• Find where the Christmas tree is located on Lighthouse
• Find where the Christmas tree is located on Reserve
• Find where the Christmas tree is located on Interchange
• Find where the Christmas tree is located on Woods
• Find where the Christmas tree is located on Shoreline

To find the tree on Customs, start matching for a raid. Once you have spawned on the map, start heading to the main crossroad near the “Smuggler’s Boat” extract. If you don’t know where the main crossroad is, use third-party maps such as Map Genie to navigate to the area.

When you reach there, you’ll be able to see the small market with the Christmas tree. Going close to the tree will complete the first objective.

After completing the first objective, extract from Customs and start queuing for a Lighthouse raid. After you spawn on the map, head toward the hillside village near the Blue Chalet. If you have to cross the main road to reach the village, make sure you are far from the Water Treatment plant’s southern entrance. This is because the Rogues can easily eliminate you using the grenade launcher.

When you reach the hillside village, go to the west side where you will see the market with the Christmas tree beside the convenience store. Similar to the first one, go close to the tree to complete the second objective.

For the third objective, start a Reserve raid, preferably at night. When you spawn, start walking to the eastern end of the map, to where the barrack buildings with the Black and White Pawn logo are located. You will see the small market with the Christmas tree right outside those buildings, beside the chopper. Go close to the tree to finish the objective.

When you are done with Reserve, start queuing for an Interchange raid. After spawning, head toward the western part of the area where the mall’s main entrance is located. Outside of the mall, near the parking lot, you will be able to see the stage with instruments. The market is situated right beside the stage.

When you go near the Christmas tree, the fourth objective will automatically be completed.

The Christmas tree on Woods is quite easy to locate. Go to the Sawmill where Shturman can spawn. Since the area is located right in the middle of the map, depending on where you have spawned, head toward the center. For example, if you spawned on the eastern part, head west and vice-versa.

Navigating through Woods can be a little hectic because of the endless trees. Therefore, we recommend you keep a third-party map open from either Map Genie or Tarkov Wiki.

When you reach the Sawmill, go toward the market in the middle of the area. Similar to all the previous ones, go close to the tree to complete the fifth objective.

When you have completed all of the five objectives, head to Shoreline. Upon spawning, run toward the Health Resort. This PoI (Point of Interest) is located in the northern part of the map, right above the power station. When you make it to Health Resort, go toward the west part of the area. In front of the West Wing, you’ll see the Christmas market and tree.

Go close to the tree to finish the last objective and task.

• Experience: 7,000
• Ragman Reputation: +0.01
• Roubles: 65,000 (68,250 and 74,750 Roubles with Intelligence Center Levels 2 and 3, respectively)
• ComTac V headset: 2x
