Honkai Star Rail 2.3 patch notes

With Honkai Star Rail 2.3 going live, players may wonder about the patch notes to see what changes have been implemented by developers. HoYoverse usually fixes various character and game-related bugs while also giving a brief description. Following the hype of version 2.1, the v2.3 update is one of the most anticipated patches due to the debut of Firefly, a 5-star Path of Destruction character.

Honkai Star Rail 2.3 patch note: New area, characters, Relics, QoL features, and more

New Area - The Radiant Feldspar

The Radiant Feldspar is a new location in the Honkai Star Rail 2.3 update. Trailblazers must play Farewell, Penacony Mission to access this area.

New characters and Light Cones

HSR 2.3 will release two new 5-star playable characters, namely Firefly and Jade. The former is a 5-star Fire unit that follows the Path of Destruction, and the latter is a 5-star Quantum unit following the Path of Erudition. Firefly will be available in the first half, while Jade will debut in the second.

Additionally, four new Light Cones will be added to the game. Here's a list:

Whereabouts Should Dreams Rest (5-star Destruction)
Yet Hope is Priceless (5-star Erudition)
Eternal Calculus (5-star Erudition)
After the Charmony Fall (4-star Erudition)

Eternal Calculus can be obtained from Herta's Store. Meanwhile, the other three can only be obtained through the Light Cone Event Warp.

New missions

A new Trailblaze Mission titled "Farewell, Penacony" will be permanently available. Players can unlock it by completing the "And on the Eighth Day" mission. Additionally, there will be a new Adventure Mission called "Checking Out."

New Permanent Game Modes

Divergent Universe

A new game mode, similar to the Simulated Universe, called the Divergent Universe will be permanently available. To unlock it, players must clear World III of the Simulated Universe.

Apocalyptic Shadow

Apocalyptic Shadow is another new permanent game mode in which Trailblazers will face boss enemies they have encountered in their journey. Players can also obtain a free copy of Xueyi by completing Difficulty Two of this game mode for the first time.

New Planar Ornaments

Honkai Star Rail 2.3 will add two new Planar Ornaments:

Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves
Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern

They will be obtainable from the new Divergent Universe: The Human Comedy.

New Relics

Honkai Star Rail 2.3 will also add two new Relics:

Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge
The Wind-Soaring Valorous

These new Relics can be farmed in the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Cavalier in the Penacony Grand Theater.

QoL changes

Here are some of the notable Quality of Life (QoL) adjustments that stand out from the rest in Honkai Star Rail 2.3:

Rewards from permanent challenges (Pure Fiction, Apocaplytic Shadow, and Forgotten Hall) will be increased from 720 to 800 Stellar Jades.
The Interastral Peace Handbook has been refined, allowing players to see their friends' progress and the teams used in the permanent challenge activities.
When starting any permanent game mode, players can utilize the preset lineup to choose the best units from their collection. One can also pick any character from their collection and utilize their abilities instantly while changing their teams in the Simulated universe.

The last feature will be useful to many players, as it will allow them to alter the team composition while clearing Simulated Universe.
