With the Honkai Star Rail version 2.4 update just around the corner, the pre-installation feature has now been made available for players across all servers. Using this feature, players can download the upcoming version 2.4 content of the HoYoverse game ahead of its release, so they can enjoy the new content as soon as the update drops.

The size requirement for downloading the pre-installation for Honkai Star Rail version 2.4 across different platforms is as follows:
- PC: 14 GB
- Mobile (Android and iOS): 11 GB
The pre-installation feature is only available on PCs and mobile devices. This quality-of-life feature has not yet been made available on PS5. Hence, players who play the game on a PlayStation will have to be patient and wait for the new version to be released to be able to download the new content.
Please note that the file size may vary if you have any additional voice-line packs for other languages installed on your device. When installing the update, the game will require some extra free storage to unpack all the data, so make sure you have more space on your device than just the download size. You should also ensure that you are connected to a Wi-Fi connection in order to have an uninterrupted download.
Furthermore, when version 2.4 drops, the app will need to be updated to play the game. If you are a mobile player, you can update the application through your respective app store.
