Honkai Star Rail: Best teams for Stellar Shimmer Vanguard Breaker (Day 1)

With the release of the Honkai Star Rail Stellar Shimmer event, all players at Trailblazer level 21 or above can participate in it to get various rewards. The event will begin on July 5 and will last until July 29, 2024, so players can play through it at their own convenience. It features a total of eight combat challenges, with one challenge being unlocked each day.

The challenge for the first day is titled Vanguard Breaker. To get all the rewards from this stage, players need to both complete the Dwarf Star Mode challenge, as well as eliminate 3/4/5 waves of enemies in the Supergiant Star Mode challenge.

Team recommendations for Stellar Shimmer: Vanguard Breaker

Day 1 of the Stellar Shimmer event features the Vanguard Breaker challenge. The stage-specific buff available for this challenge is a Break Effect buff. When breaking enemy targets' weaknesses, the attacker's action is advanced by 100%, and one skill point is recovered.

When attacking enemy targets those whose weakness is already broken, an additional Break DMG worth 200% of the attacker's Break DMG is dealt to the enemies.

Here are a few teams players can use to take advantage of this Break Effect buff and clear the stage while obtaining all the rewards.

1) Firefly, Harmony Trailblazer, Ruan Mei, Gallagher

This team of Firefly, Harmony MC, Ruan Mei, and Gallagher is one of the best Break effect teams in Honkai Star Rail. Since the Vanguard Breaker stage in Stellar Shimmer has both Break Effect buffs along with enemies who have Fire and Imaginary weaknesses, this team can easily shred through the enemy defenses and keep them in a constant weakness broken stage.

Firefly is the main DPS in this team composition, with Harmony MC, Ruan Mei and Gallagher all acting as supports and boosting her Break Effect damage.

Since Firefly and Harmony Trailblazer are offered as trial characters to use in this stage, all players will be able to comfortably add them to their teams. For anyone who doesn't have Ruan Mei, Pela can act as her substitute in this team. Pela's debuffs and enemy DEF shred will help increase the damage Firefly deals.

Additionally, since the enemies have an Ice weakness, Pela can also help in breaking their weaknesses faster.

This team composition is best suited for players who have a high investment in Firefly and are confident in her abilities to fully clear the stage without needing a sustain. In this team composition, Bronya helps in advancing Firefly so she can break enemy weaknesses at very high speed and deal a huge amount of damage.
