With Honkai Star Rail version 2.2, Boothill’s limited-time banners are now available to players around the world. He is the newest addition to the Path of The Hunt and wields the Physical element. While Boothill is one of the newer units, you may be wondering about what stats to prioritize when building him.
For those curious, this article takes a deep dive and discusses what stats you should prioritize when fitting Boothill with Relics in Honkai Star Rail.

What stats should players look for when building Boothill in Honkai Star Rail?

Although Boothill is a DPS character in Honkai Star Rail, building him is relatively easier than other DPS units since most of his outgoing damage scales with Break Effect. Hence, while building him you must prioritize it over CRIT stats and ATK.
When you fit the Relic sets on Boothill, prioritize the Break Effect sub-stat on all pieces. On the body piece look for Break Effect as the main stat with SPD sub-stat. As for the boot piece, an SPD main stat with a Break Effect sub-stat is ideal for Boothill.
Apart from the Relic pieces, the Planar Ornaments also play an important part. Just like other DPS units, Boothill requires a Physical DMG Bonus Planar Sphere with Break Effect and SPD sub-stats. Likewise, The main stat on the Planar Link Rope must have Break Effect with the SPD sub-stat.

Note that you do not need any CRIT stats as none of Boothill’s abilities scale with it. After You Boothill Build is fully finished, he should have at least a 300% Break Effect with his signature Light Cone. If you do not have his Light Cone, a 250% Break Effect is ideal.
Additionally, if you can achieve a 250/300% Break Effect without the BE (Break Effect) body piece, you can swap it out with an HP/DEF main stat body piece. This allows him to be more tanky and absorb more damage. As for Boothill’s SPD, the ideal range starts from 130-160.
