Honkai Star Rail Divergent Universe characters tier list

Divergent Universe is the newest Simulated Universe mode that was added to the game during Honkai Star Rail version 2.3. To put it simply, this mode is just a longer version of the usual Simulated Universe Worlds. After completing a Cyclical Extrapolation stage, Trailblazers can also save the boss fight to farm for their desired Planar Ornaments. The Cyclical Extrapolation resets every week, which means players can acquire a decent amount of loot by clearing it.

Since there are multiple levels of difficulty, the characters that define the title’s meta are the most used ones. However, there is a chance that some players may not follow the same trend as they don’t know which characters are the best options to complete this mode.

Having said that, this article lists all Honkai Star Rail characters in a tier list based on their performance in the new Simulated Universe mode, Divergent Universe.

Note: This tier list is based on the writer’s opinion and is influenced by their Honkai Star Rail inventory and experience.

Tier list for Honkai Star Rail Divergent Universe

The picture above showcases all of the Honkai Star Rail characters placed in a tier list based on their performance in Divergent Universe. Each unit has been examined without Eidolons to make sure they get a fair chance. The following section lists all tiers including the characters and details why they have been placed in that rank.

SS tier

Acheron (Image via HoYoverse)

The characters that dominate the meta are all placed in the SS tier. All of them perform exceptionally well in this mode and can eliminate their opponents without any effort:

• Firefly
• Acheron
• Sparkle
• Ruan Mei
• Topaz & Numby
• Robin
• Gallagher
• March 7th (Hunt)

Among the characters mentioned above, Firefly, Acheron, March 7th (Hunt), and Topaz are in this tier simply because of their fierce fighting prowess. All of them can easily defeat their opponents without breaking a sweat. Sparkle, Ruan Mei, Robin, and Gallagher have been included in this team as they are the best support units available in the game.

Since the Super Break Honkai Star Rail teams have become popular recently, Gallagher is a must-have unit due to the fact he can boost his allies’ BE (Break Effect) damage and heal them simultaneously.

S tier

The Honkai Star Rail units in this tier are quite good when they get a little assistance from their teammates:

• Jade
• Trailblazer (Harmony)
• Yunli
• Dr. Ratio
• Fu Xuan
• Aventurine
• Kafka
• Black Swan
• Boothill
• Pela

Characters like Jade, Yunli, Dr. Ratio, Kafka, Black Swan, and Boothill require a teammate to support them so they can fully utilize all of their abilities. When this requirement is met, these characters are quite lethal and can vaporize their opponents.

Excluding all of the units mentioned above, Trailblazer (Harmony), Fu Xuan, Aventurine, and Pela are considered the best supports in this gacha title. Their sustainability is over the chart, which makes them stand out from the rest.

A tier

The DPS units in this tier can easily get their job done but are not as good as the characters in the SS or S tier. Apart from the DPS characters, the support units are quite good even though they are not picked as often compared to others. The players who cannot afford to pull for all of the units in the SS and S tier can easily settle for any of the abovementioned characters.

All of the units included in this tier are subpar and struggle to clear Divergent Universe on the hardest difficulty. Most of these units are victims of power creep, which is one of the reasons for their demise. Additionally, these characters require a ridiculous amount of investment to be able to have an impact while engaged in battle.

C tier

In this Divergent Universe tier list, the characters in the C tier are:

• Hook
• Natasha
• Trailblazer (Preservation)
• Trailblazer (Destruction)
• Dan Heng
• Arlan

Simply put, the characters in this tier are worthless in Divergent Universe. They fail to prove their worth in this mode and are also the victims of power creep. Players should avoid building Honkai Star Rail team compositions that include any of the characters above. You are better off saving your resources and investing in other units.
