Firefly’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail

Since Firefly follows the Destruction Path, she is fated to fill the DPS role in various team compositions in Honkai Star Rail. Unlike other DPS units, the aforementioned character is unique as her abilities scale with the Break Effect. Trailblazers can find a brief description of Firefly’s abilities in the following section:

• Basic ATK: Firefly attacks an opponent dealing Fire damage to them.
• Skill: Unleashes an attack that deals Fire damage to a single target. Additionally, Firefly absorbs her own HP and regenerates a fixed amount of Energy depending on her max Energy. If there is not sufficient HP to consume, her HP will be lowered to 1 when this Skill is triggered.
• Ultimate: Triggers the Combustion state and Firefly/SAM acquires enhanced Basic ATK and Skill. While this state is active, the latter’s Speed and Break Effect gets amplified to a certain level. Additionally, SAM cannot activate this ability again while the Combustion state is active.
• Passive Talent: When Firefly/SAM’s HP drops they take less damage from the opponents. When their HP drops below 20%, this effect reaches its maximum level. Moreover, if they don’t have 50 Energy at the start of the fight, this ability automatically replenishes their Energy to 50%. Their debuffs will also be dispelled.
• Technique: SAM jumps into the air for five seconds and plunges, attacking all the nearby enemies. After engaging in a fight, inflicts Fire Weakness on all adversaries for two turns.

What is Firefly’s lore in Honkai Star Rail?

Firefly, also known as SAM, is one of the members of the notorious group, Stellaron Hunters. Most of the members of this group are wanted criminals who are always on the run. While piloting SAM, Firefly’s growth gets accelerated and her life shortened, leading her to depart from her life sooner than expected. The sole reason she joined the Stellaron Hunters is to get a second chance at life and go against her looming fated demise.

Additionally, Firefly has to fulfill SAM’s missions to follow Elio, the leader of the Stellaron Hunters’ script since it may allow her to lead the normal/second life she wishes for.
