Honkai Star Rail Stellar Shimmer event guide and rewards

HoYoverse has recently released Honkar Star Rail's version 2.3 update, which brought not just new characters but a lot of new and exciting events as well. These include the much-anticipated Divergent Universe, Apocalyptic Shadow, Planar Fissure, Origami Bird Clash. The next new event on the horizon is Stellar Shimmer, which will become accessible on July 5, 2024.

Let's take a look at its details, including the rewards players will get for it.

Stellar Shimmer event gameplay details and rewards

The Stellar Shimmer event is set to begin on July 5, 2024, and will be available till July 29, 2024. It will be combat-centric and take place on the Herta Space Station. Once the event starts, a new combat challenge will be unlocked for players to take part in every single day.

There will be a total of eight such tasks, each with different stage mechanics and buffs for your characters. If you accomplish all of them, you've completed the event.

You can choose one of two difficulty levels for each challenge: the Dwarf Star and Supergiant Star. The former is recommended for casual players, while more hardcore gamers could opt for the Supergiant Star stage. That said, one has to complete a challenge on Dwarf Star to make its Supergiant Star difficulty level available.

Additionally, an extra gameplay mechanic is associated with the latter. Supergiant Star challenges use what's called the "Perfect Win rating," where players can earn a Perfect Win if they are able to defeat all six waves of enemy mobs before the current cycle ends.

This event requires all players to have a Trailblazer level of at least 21 to participate in it. To make it easier to access for newbies and those who might not have as many characters, this event will let them use trial characters to take part in the challenges.

Things to keep in mind before playing Stellar Shimmer

While this event is a combat challenge event, players should keep these things in mind before jumping into battles:

• Changing your HSR Equilibrium Level will alter the enemy levels as well. So if you play an Equilibrium quest and raise your world level/equilibrium level, the levels of the foes in the event will be increased as well.
• Unlike normal combat, when you defeat an enemy in the Stellar Shimmer event, your current character will not regenerate the standard amount of energy. Instead, they will regenerate only 50% of the energy they normally do in all regular battles (overworld, bosses, and Simulated Universe).

Honkai Star Rail Stellar Shimmer event guide

The Honkai Star Rail Stellar Shimmer event is located in Herta Space station. To begin the event, players need to go to Herta Space Station, and interact with the researcher named Grumpy. After a short dialogue with her, the Stellar Shimmer event interface will be unlocked.

Follow these steps to clear the event and obtain all the rewards from it:

1) Unlock the Stellar Shimmer event interface and begin the challenge

Once you have concluded your dialogue with the researcher Grumpy, click on the 'Launch simulation program' option to activate the terminal. This will unlock the event and allow you to start the combat challenge right away.

2) Start the first challenge

The Honkai Star Rail Stellar Shimmer event has a total of 8 challenges, with the 'Vanguard Breaker' challenge being the first one that is unlocked on Day1. Click on the challenge to proceed.

3) Pick your team and start the challenge

Choose the characters you will need to clear the stage. Keep in mind that only the Dwarf Star stage will be unlocked first, and you need to clear it to unlock the Supergiant Star stage. Players are allowed to choose trial characters as well. Make sure you choose a good team based on the enemy weaknesses as well as the challenge buffs of the specific stage. For example, the first stage Vanguard Breaker has a Break Effect buff, so picking characters like Firefly, Harmony Trailblazer and Ruan Mei will help you clear the stage more efficiently.

4) Clear the stage while achieving the challenge goal

Play through the stage, and clear it to complete the Dwarf Star stage. If you are unable to achieve the Challenge Goals in the first try, you can always redo the stage again.

5) Pick your team for the next half of the challenge

Once you have cleared the Dwarf Star mode, the Supergiant Star mode will be automatically unlocked. Similar to the previous half of the stage, note the enemy weaknesses, pick your team accordingly, and enter combat.

Complete playing the Supergiant Star stage while trying to get all 3 challenge goals. You can always restart and redo the challenge till you are able to obtain all the challenge goals and the Perfect Win rating.
