Honkai Star Rail Sunday teams guide: Best F2P and high-investment team comps

Having the best Sunday team setup in Honkai Star Rail will allow you to effectively take advantage of the various buffs that the former head of the Oak Family of Penacony can provide. He is the first-ever male character to join the Harmony roster and can become the next best support, thanks to the amazing utilities he brings to the table.

Sunday's kit allows him to action forward characters and their summons (Jing Yuan, Topaz), as well as increase the damage and Crit Damage of the entire party. While he is at his best when paired with characters with summon units, he can also be of great value in most other teams.

Here are a few Sunday team setups in Honkai Star Rail that can take full advantage of his buffs.

Best Sunday teams in Honkai Star Rail

1) Sunday, Jing Yuan, Topaz, HuoHuo

The best Sunday team that you can have, as of this writing, consists of Jing Yuan, Topaz, and HuoHuo. The former head of the Oak Family of Penacony can buff and action forward summons, something that Jing Yuan's Lightning Lord and Topaz's Numby can take full advantage of.

Additionally, as summons are considered Follow-Up Attacks in the game and Topaz can debuff a single enemy to take increased damage from FUAs, this allows Lightning Lord to deal more powerful strikes against bosses. HuoHuo is arguably one of the best sustainances who can provide energy and attack buffs, but if you lack her, you can supplement her with Gallagher.

2) Sunday, Jing Yuan, Robin, HuoHuo

Another Sunday team composition that you can form in Honkai Star Rail consists of his sibling, Robin, the general of the Luofu, Jing Yuan, and HuoHuo. The siblings can buff summon damage and follow-up attacks, as well as action forward, allowing Jing Yuan to move across the turn order with speed and attack often.

Given both Sunday and Robin can buff Crit Damage, you can also invest your precious relics based on Crit Rate on the General of Luofu, allowing you to Crit often. HuoHuo is pretty much the ideal healer due to her additional ability to buff attacks and generate precious energy for your team. When starting a battle, Robin can increase her attack, provide an action forward, and Crit Damage. On the other hand, her brother, Sunday, can increase damage, giving a 100 percent turn order action forward as well as buff Crit Damage.

This will significantly increase Jingliu's offense and you can use her with attack boots. As stated previously, HuoHuo is a great asset as she can regenerate energy, increase attack, and heal, but can be replaced with any other options that you have.

4) Boothill, Ruan Mei/ Harmony MC, Sunday, Lingsha

Our next Sunday team setup that you can use in Honkai Star Rail is a hybrid break lineup with Boothill. Have the former head of the Oak Family buff the Galaxy Ranger's damage, and Ruan Mei or Harmony MC can buff the break efficiency/ Super Break damage output.

Lingsha or Gallagher is the best sustain for any break composition due to their ability to debuff enemies into taking more break damage. Either will work in this Sunday team setup in Honkai Star Rail.

5) Pela, Herta, Gallagher, Sunday

The final Sunday team composition is a free-to-play team setup that can kind of work. Keep in mind, though, that this team will work significantly worse compared to other squad setups. Pela can debuff enemies as she can shred defenses, while Sunday can buff Herta to deal more damage with the various utilities he provides.

Either Lynx or Gallagher can be a great free-to-play healer, but we recommend going for the latter as he is comparatively better.
