If you have pre-ordered or got the Deluxe Edition of Dragon Age The Veilguard, you are entitled to a selection of armor, gear, companion skins, and bonuses that can be claimed once you have cleared the initial quest. At the start of the game, Dragon Age wastes no time putting you in the center of the action. Once you have created your Rook, you will have to go through a mandatory combat tutorial and some story bits. With that done, you will have access to these bonuses.

This guide shares everything needed to know about how to claim the pre-order and Deluxe Edition bonuses in Dragon Age The Veilguard.

Here's a step-by-step guide for claiming the pre-order and Deluxe Edition rewards in Dragon Age The Veilguard:

  1. Complete the introductory quest: After you create your hero (aka Rook), Dragon Age: The Veilguard kicks off immediately with an action sequence. You’ll need to complete the initial quest before you gain access to the customization features.
  2. Meet Varric in the lighthouse: Following the first big battle, you’ll be taken to a place known as the Lighthouse, where you’ll meet the character Varric. Once you’re done with this conversation, you’ll gain the freedom to explore the area.
  3. Locate the infirmary chest: After talking to Varric, go to the infirmary inside the Lighthouse. There, you’ll find a large chest right in front of you. This is where your Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonuses are stored.
  4. Open the chest to unlock your bonuses: Interact with the chest in the infirmary. Opening it will immediately unlock all your pre-order and Deluxe Edition cosmetics, including weapons, armor, and companion items. At this point, the Wardrobe interface will also appear, allowing you to equip these exclusive items.
  5. Equip your gear and customize your companions: You can now access the Wardrobe interface and equip your Rook hero and your companions (Neve and Harding at this point) with the Deluxe Edition and pre-order items. Enjoy styling your characters in the unique armor and weapons you’ve unlocked!
