To assign workers and families in Manor Lords, select an unassigned family and put them in a building of your choice. Workers are classified into Assigned and Unassigned.
Assigned families are already taking care of a certain structure, activity, or farm, while unassigned workers and families in Manor Lords don't hold a specialized purpose. However, unassigned workers are responsible for building new structures in your village.
Here are the steps to add families to buildings in Manor Lords:
- Build two or more buildings in your village. You will get an initial five working families at the start of the campaign. They will be responsible for constructing the buildings.
- Once constructed, click on a building of your choice. A window will then appear including different icons. You will notice Person icons in between a plus and minus sign.
- Click on the plus sign (+) to add workers and families in Manor Lords. A single worker refers to a whole family and is hence assigned accordingly.
- Press E to confirm assigning the family to the building. After that, watch them help you progress and gather resources from the People tab of the same window. If you don't find their work meeting your expectations, remove them from the General tab and add another family instead. Certain families may be skilled, particularly in certain activities, monitor them to find their most suitable workstation, and assign them by using the same steps.
