How to beat Boothill in Honkai Star Rail Luminary Wardance event

After defeating Topaz in the Honkai Star Rail Luminary Wardance event, players will face Boothill. Similar to the previous challenge, players must complete several trials to unlock the Faceoff Match against itself. Defeating Boothill will not only provide you with all the rewards from the event but is also mandatory if you wish to progress further.

Easiest way to beat Boothill in Honkai Star Rail Luminary Wardance event

Right After Topaz’s Faceoff match, you will be able to challenge Boothill. However, before you can access him, you must gather 400 points to unlock the fight.

Here’s how you can complete all the Knockout Matches to unlock the Boothill Faceoff Match in the Honkai Star Rail Luminary Wardance event.

Knockout Match One

• In the first Knockout Match, you will fight against Tri-Dis of Zhuming. As usual, you can use three trial characters to complete the challenge. Since most enemies in this match are weak against the Fire and Physical elements, you should build a team that includes units wielding those elements.
• If you don't have any good characters built, you can just use the trial characters as they can get the job done. If you are picking the trial units, make sure to add a healer/sustainer of yours and you are good to go. The team should look like this: Boothill, Ruan Mei, Trailblazer (Harmony), and Gallagher.
• Since the Arena Environment effect boosts the units’ Break Effect stat and the amount of damage they deal when they are affected by the Weakness Break status effect, your primary focus will be doing that—depleting the opponents’ Toughness Bar and gaining a significant amount of Vibes.

Knockout Match Two

• During this Knockout match, you will face several Trotters. To complete this match you must accumulate a hefty sum of Vibes by defeating all adversaries that are spawning.
• Since the Arena Environment grants a significant boost to all characters’ Basic Attack damage, build a team accordingly. If you don’t have any characters who primarily deal damage through Basic ATK, the developers have provided a catalog of trial characters. With them, you can build a team such as DHIL (Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae), Sparkle, Tungyun, and Lynx/Fu Xuan/Aventurine.
• Make sure you are buffing DHIL so he can vaporize the Trotters before they can escape to gain a significant amount of Vibes. Repeat this process until you finish the challenge.

After you have completed two Knockout Matches, you will be able to challenge Boothill in the Faceoff Match in the Honkai Star Rail Luminary Wardance event:

Before building a team, you should take a look at the “Arena Environment” effect of this stage. It makes the adversaries take 50% more damage from the DoTs. Moreover, the characters can apply a unique debuff named Spiritual Debuff.

Boothill’s Faceoff Match consists of two phases, similar to Topaz’s match. He is weak against Lightning, Fire, Wind, and Imaginary elements. Therefore, build a team accordingly with these elements. Since the opponents in this match take increased damage from DoT attacks, you can build the following teams:

• Kafka, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, Huohuo
• Kafka, Black Swan, Guinaifen, Huohuo

Since Black Swan, Kafka, and Huohuo are the trial characters, we have only built teams including all of them.

Before you start the match, you must select the Tactical Codex: Lie in Wait and Tactical Beverage: Devil’s Hand as both have great synergy with this stage.
