Just as the fight begins, the Tiger Vanguard will circle to your right and pounce on you. You can dodge or immobilize him just before impact to get some free hits in. Now, his most common move is his melee combos. Here are the melee combos you need to look out for when fighting the Tiger Vanguard in Black Myth Wukong:
- A four-hit combo that begins with an acrobatic kick and ends with a ground-breaking punch.
- A four-hit combo that begins with a stomp and ends with a ground-breaking punch.
- A three-hit combo that begins with a punch and ends with a low sweep.
- Whenever you distance yourself from the Tiger Vanguard, there is a chance he might circle around and try to pounce on you, so be on the lookout.
The Tiger Vanguard in Black Myth Wukong also uses the large sword on his back. These are the attacks you need to look out for whenever he reaches for his sword:
- A single fast slash
- Three-slash combo

This will keep the Tiger Vanguard in Black Myth Wukong in place for a longer period and will also buff your damage against him.
Bringing him down to 60% health will trigger the second phase, during which he will use a spell and transform into a rock. Do not attack him while he is in his rock form, as he will be able to counter you.
