How to catch bugs in Infinity Nikki

Bug catching is a self-explanatory ability in Infinity Nikki that is useful for collecting various materials from insects. The game features different types of abilities that players can use, such as fishing, grooming animals, and catching bugs. However, the latter is unlocked in Infinity Nikki only after crafting and wearing a specific outfit that lets players approach bugs in order to catch them.

This article provides a guide on how to craft the aforementioned outfit and use it to catch bugs in Infinity Nikki.

To approach and catch bugs in Infinity Nikki, you first need to craft a special bug-catching outfit called "Afternoon Shine". However, unlocking the attire will require you to play through the main story first.

Unlocking the bug-catching outfit

To unlock the bug-catching (aka Afternoon Shine) outfit, you will need to play the "Accident at the Clothing Store" main quest in Chapter 1: Wishes Without Wings. During this quest, you will be tasked with catching a Foodie Bee and delivering it to the clothing store. At this stage, you will be able to unlock and craft the bug-catching outfit.

Follow these steps to unlock the bug-catching outfit:

1) Unlock the Afternoon Shine outfit sketch

You will first need to unlock the Afternoon Shine outfit sketch from the Heart of Infinity. This will require two Whimstars.

2) Craft the Afternoon Shine outfit

With the sketch unlocked, you can craft the outfit to help you catch bugs. Head over to the "Sketches" menu (Y key on your PC) and navigate to the Afternoon Shine outfit. You will need the following materials to craft it:

• 1 Starlit Plum
• 2 Daisy
• 1 Floof Yarn
• 30 Thread of Purity

Once you have all these materials, you can craft the outfit by clicking on "Quick Craft". Once the process is over, the special bug-catching ability will be automatically unlocked for you.

Catching bugs

Once your special bug-catching outfit has been crafted, you can simply approach any nearby bug stealthily (by holding down the right mouse button on your PC) to automatically switch to the bug-catching ability. Alternatively, you can switch to the bug-catching ability and manually select the Afternoon Shine outfit from the ability wheel (accessible by pressing TAB on your PC).

Keep stealthily approaching and following the bug. Once the net starts glowing, release the right mouse button to catch the bug. You can catch all bugs in Infinity Nikki this way.
