Metyr, Mother of Fingers is one of the most intriguing optional bosses in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. Much like most of the end-game bosses in the expansion, Metyr is known to induce frenzy and frustration among players. Not only does it offer a staggering amount of challenge, but it also has a massive health bar.
As such, Metyr often ends up being a major roadblock for players, especially for those who try to brute-force their way through the boss without tapping into its weaknesses. In addition to its massive health pool, Metyr also has quite a few attacks that can easily "one-shot" you, regardless of your Vigor.
Thankfully, just like Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame, or the Scadutree Avatar, you can trivialize the battle against Metyr with a few incredibly handy "cheese" strategies. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to "cheese" Metyr, Mother of Fingers in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

Tips to easily cheese Metyr, Mother of Fingers in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
There are two basic things to know about Metyr - first, it's incredibly weak to Flame and Bleed damage, and second, its attacks are rarely delayed, and require successive dodges, but in a specific direction. While you can go with a pure Bleed build, during my testing, I found an Arcane hybrid build to be much more effective against Metyr.
A few things to remember while fighting Metyr are - always dodge to the left, but not too far away from the boss, don't rely on regular attacks (even with Colossal Weapons) to induce stagger, and lastly, don't try to rush the boss fight. As for the "cheese", I went with my trusty Great Stars build, which easily pulverized Metyr in mere minutes.

- Dexterity: 50
- Intelligence: 9
- Faith: 30
- Arcane: 60
Do note that I fought Metyr with a New Game+3 character, hence the Level 275 stat allocation. However, if you want to replicate the same build, you can do so with even a Level 180-200 character. Just make sure to invest most of your points into Strength and Arcane.
As for the combat strategy to deal with Metyr, your primary means to deal damage will be jump attacks. Stay under the boss' left side, close to its arm, that way you can avoid most of its attacks easily. Lastly, to avoid getting hit by laser attacks, you can use the Opaline Bubbletear if you're uncomfortable rolling through it.
