How to complete the Change Your Fate quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley allows players to build friendships with popular characters in the game. One character you can befriend is Merida in the Storybook Vale expansion. Once you've leveled up your friendship with her to level 7, you’ll unlock a quest called Change Your Fate. This quest is time-consuming and features tricky riddles that will leave players scratching their heads.

Aside from the puzzle sequences, the rest of the quest is straightforward if you know what to do. This article will guide you through the "Change Your Fate" quest and solve all the required puzzles in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to begin the "Change Your Fate" quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once Merida becomes accessible, finish her quests and have a level 7 friendship with her. This will make the "Change Your Fate" quest available and unlock characters such as Hades, Mulan, Mirabel, and Moana. Increasing the friendship level can take a while, so make sure you often gift Merida her favorite items.

Once you are at level 7, chat with her and start the quest. She will reveal that Hades is attempting to rob her artifacts. The first objective of the quest will be to investigate Merida's home for leads. The clue is between the chair and the fireplace, which, when picked up, needs to be taken back to Merida.

The clue you obtain from Merida's house refers to Mulan, meaning you need to meet her for the next hint. Talking to Mulan will reveal that the clue is hidden beneath a flying horse located in the Elysian Fields. After finding the clue, click a photo, and talk to Merida.

Now head south to search for the bag under the statue. Head towards the bottom of the statue to investigate the bag, after which you'll get the next clue in your Storybook Vale collection. Talk to Merida again.

The next clue can be a bit difficult to decipher, as it indicates that the location we need to go to is Teapoot Falls. However, the actual location is supposed to be the river in the Wild Woods in Everafter. Picking up another memory here will reveal another hint to proceed further in the quest.

The next clue will ask you to solve the 'Find your place in the world under the eye of a watchful mother' riddle. To solve this hint, go to the Library of Lore and trigger the Globe to uncover the last memory.

Recover the artifact

This will be your final hint, showing you a photo of a waterfall and the missing artifact. Head to the picture's location and collect the artifact in The Bind. You will see a bookcase here, which, when interacted with, will open a hidden room and a handwritten note by Hades.

Then, talk with Hades, who is responsible for stealing the artifacts. After talking to Hades, head to his home to look for the treasure near his throne. Now, talk to Merida for the last time to conclude the "Change Your Fate" quest. As a reward, Merida will gift you the artifact you recovered.
