Head over to the Hebra Mountains Region to locate the Crossing the Cold Pool side quest in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. You’ll have to make your way to Talonto Peak Cave to trigger the quest. If you’re having trouble finding the cave, head to -3321, 2453, 0347. Here, you’ll find Verla. Interact with them to start the quest.
Use Ultrahand and wooden platforms
Make sure to keep yourself warm by either using cold protection clothes or using some consumables. Verla needs a few mushrooms from the cave, but the pathway is blocked by a freezing pool of cold water. You’ll find a pile of wooden platforms next to them.
Using the wooden platforms and Link's Ultrahand ability, construct a wooden bridge using two pieces of wood to cross the pool of water. Once you make it past the pool of cold water, collect 10 small blue mushrooms.
Collect 10 Chillshrooms and give them to Verla
You can find more of these Chillshrooms at the back of the cave. Collect as many as you can to cook them later and make consumables. For the Crossing the Cold Pool quest, you only need 10 Chillshrooms. After you collect them, head back outside the cave’s entrance and meet up with Verla.
That’s pretty much all you need to know to complete the Crossing the Cold Pool sidequest in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
