How to complete the Jafar's Laboratory quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Released in 2023, Gameloft's Disney Dreamlight Valley is one of the best life simulation titles available in the market right now. A few weeks back, the game received another update for the DLC, A Rift in Time. This was exciting news for players, as it gave them a whole new series of quests to complete.

The update resulted in Jafar receiving the Spark of Imagination which he intends to use to control The Eternity Isle. Now, to protect the village, you must stop him from exercising his evil powers. Although most quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley are not that difficult, Jafar's Laboratory might require a little assistance to complete.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Jafar's Laboratory walkthrough

As soon as you start the quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, look for the key to the main entrance to Jafar's Palace. To get through the door guarding Jafar's Palace, you will have to go to Jafar's Laboratory, located on the second floor of his palace. Take the staircase to your right to reach the humongous hall, where you will find a puzzle. Welcome to Jafar's laboratory.

Once inside this laboratory in Disney Dreamland Valley, spot the black bird that Jafar keeps as a pet. Ask the bird about the key's location, and it will ask for food in return for the favor. You can find clues about what food items the bird likes on the table to your right. It reveals that the bird only likes eating food made from fresh veggies and rotten seafood.

To unlock the door, you need to solve the hourglass puzzle. Get hold of rotten fish and clams from the ingredient table nearby and use the hourglass to switch time zones. Find a stove, along with some tomatoes and carrots. Put everything into the pot to cook the bird food and hand it over to Jafar's pet in return for a special coil. Insert this coil into the power socket built inside a pillar in the laboratory and move on to the next part of the puzzle.

To progress further, you need to rotate the white stone plates on the ground of Jafar's laboratory and flip the golden mirror so that one side points to the socket while the other one is angled towards the hourglass. Once this is done, you will be able to unlock the gate.

After solving the previously discussed puzzle, enter the chamber and find Jafar's key inside. Flip the hourglass back to its normal position and unlock the gate using the key. With this, you will be able to complete the Jafar's laboratory quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
