Merging Powers quest in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension is one of many side missions you can use to earn rewards in the game. This companion quest for Ez sees The Guild and The Workshop work together to create their most powerful weapon yet. However, to complete this project, they will need some rare materials that can be acquired through the help of some dimension-traversal.

Once you've rescued Ez and completed the 'Ez and the Guild' quest, you can acquire the Merging Powers quest. Enter the backroom of the workshop and interact with the Professor and the Head of the Guild to receive the quest.

Getting the Rock

You're tasked with finding a material that is "both soft and hard, flexible yet sturdy." Valrika will tell you that such a description matches the nature of Chaos itself, suggesting you search for the item there (you must also start Valrika's Survivor of Chaos quest to gain access to the Chaos Caverns).

You'll find the Smushy-Yet-Hard Rock just a few steps ahead of the entrance once you warp to the Chaos Caverns. You can also open the map to pinpoint its location.

Getting the tooth

You'll then be prompted to acquire a tooth of a Sandsea Serpent. As suggested by the name, you must begin your hunt from the Sandsea. Once you reach the location, save near the Uzra Bridge and equip your Dimengeon to make the Serpent appear quicker.

Roam around the area located in Uzra until you eventually trigger the encounter that moves the Merging Powers quest in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension forward. You will then come face-to-face with the Titanic Serpent.

Party

The Party set-up here will be Leo, Ez, and Valrika. The party members need to have these essential moves unlocked from their respective growth maps:

Defense and Speed are paramount here. As such, if you have an Amethyst XL, hand it to the member that has the lowest defense. For the rest, an Amethyst L will work fine.

Titanic Serpent

This is the move list of the boss:

Move	Effect
Bite	Attacks one character, inflicts Poison and Mist.
Hyper Bite	Attacks entire party, high damage.
Thunder Ball	Three Lightning balls that attack the entire party.
Thunder Breath	After three charges, the boss will unleash this deadly Lightning attack on whole party.

While this fight is similar to the Sandsea Serpent, the added complexity here will come from Sandphin enemies tagging along with the boss. Every attack they perform charges them up until they can unleash the Thunder Breath. Just before this move, be sure to top up your health and charge up your defenses.

Bite is another move you should be wary of, as it can cast Mist and Poison. Use Remedy to cure them. Make sure that no one in the party is swapped out if you want this fight to progress smoothly.

Leo's Samidare is a surefire way to defeat one Sandphin. Or, you can use Valrika's arrow rain to target the left Sandphin as it can also damage the boss. Use Leo to mop up any leftovers. Note that Sandphins can heal the boss, so prioritize them first.

To defeat the boss, use Leo's Helm Bash and Blade Break to weaken it, while attacking with Fire Samidare to deal heavy damage to it. Valrika's contribution will be her arrow rain, while Ez will be on support duty.

Defeat the Titanic Serpent in the Merging Powers quest in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension, after which you'll receive the Sandsea Serpent Tooth.

Getting the Olympus Calculator

Once you return to the workshop with the tooth, you'll finally be tasked with finding the Olympus Calculator at the Machine Realm. Once you warp to the Junkyard, head west into the second area, and follow the item's location on the map to find it. Pick it up and head back to the Workshop to complete the Merging Powers quest in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension.

Rewards

Once you complete the Merging Powers quest in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension, Ez will build himself the Carnwennan, which will grant him immunity to all status ailments.
