How to complete The Final Trial quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Completing The Final Trial quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is the only way to remove the purple Mushrooms and, subsequently, unlock a certain route in the Glade of Trust region. Hailed as the greatest wizard in the world, Merlin has a great idea to get rid of these Mushrooms blocking the pathway. For that, you'll have to collect the specific items and craft the materials he asked for in the quest.

The Final Trial quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley: Walkthrough

Note that initiating The Final Trial quest requires prior completion of The Shy Little Robot quest. It is the first mission available in WALL-E's region. Furthermore, you must reach level 10 Friendship with Merlin and complete all of his quests to delve into The Final Trial mission.

As you're into the quest, you have to go through several tasks given by Merlin. All of the tasks and how to complete them are shown below:

1) Craft Purified Night Shards

The first task is to make five Purified Night Shards for Merlin. For that, you will require the following items:

• Night Shards x25
• Dream Shards x5

You can get these items while clearing Night Thorns and digging up the ground around the valley. Specifically, you can feed the Critters to get Dream Shards in the title. These Critters are tiny animals you can find all around the valley. After collecting the required items, craft five Purified Night Shards using the crafting table in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

2) Talk to Wall-E for help in crushing the Purified Night Shards

After crafting the Purified Night Shards, hand them over to Wall-E. He will then crush them to generate the Night Shard Powder. Take that to Merlin and receive a recipe book from him, which contains the list of ingredients required to make the ointment.

3) Gather the Ingredients mentioned in the book

Merlin will ask you to collect all the items mentioned in the recipe book. Here's where you can find them:

• Falling Water x1: Make your way towards the southern part of the Glade of Trust area, located near the waterfall, and retrieve the vial found in the water.
• Ice Heart x1: Take the Ice Heart Seed bestowed upon you by Merlin, plant it, and water it. Harvest the Ice Heart when it's done growing.
• Mushroom x25: The Glade of Trust is where these Mushrooms naturally flourish, but they can also be gathered by watering the small groups of Mushrooms.

4) Craft the enchantment

After collecting the required amount of Falling Water, Ice Heart, and Mushrooms, head over to the crafting table to create the Enchantment. Once done, bring that to Merlin and he'll upgrade your Watering Can. This upgrade is required for the next mission.

5) Remove a Big Path-Blocking Mushroom

The last task in The Final Trial quest involves utilizing your recently upgraded watering can to eradicate the sizable mushrooms that are obstructing the bridge in the Glade of Trust area.

Upon finishing the task, make your way back to Merlin and engage in conversation with him to successfully conclude the quest. You will receive the highly coveted Marvelous Wizard Hat as a well-deserved reward.
