How to complete Timber in Gray Zone Warfare

Timber is the first task assigned by Banshee, one of the six vendors in Gray Zone Warfare. This single-objective task is challenging since it requires you to confront multiple armed AI soldiers and eliminate their leader. However, the task becomes relatively easy with the right approach and knowledge of the leader's location.

This guide provides details about the Timber task and the precise location of the leader, making it easier to complete Banshee's first task in Gray Zone Warfare.

The Timber mission remains the same across all factions in GZW: Lamang Recovery Initiative, Mithras Security System, and Crimson Shield International.

Banshee's business is to provide people with the means to defend themselves, and he wanted to seize some equipment at Sawmill to help level his associates' playing field. However, the Lamang Armed Forces heavily guarded the equipment, and Banshee's associates were stopped. To prevent them from retaliating, Banshee wants you to eliminate the leader of the guarding group, Sang Samlain.

Your objective here is to eliminate the leader of the hostile group occupying the Sawmill.

After accepting the task, head to the Sawmill region located on the western side of the map. The precise coordinates are 138, 144. Upon arrival, you will encounter multiple armed soldiers, so it is highly recommended to carry a scoped weapon to make your task easier.

Wait at a distance, and you will see three main structures in the area. The leader typically roams between the Saw and the Warehouse. You can easily recognize him by his helmet, body armor, vest, and ACOG-equipped AK. He will also have tattoos covering his body.

Engaging in battle from a distance is optimal here. Don't worry, the leader will not flee if you attack the base directly, but he may pose a challenge. However, a precise headshot can eliminate him easily.

After eliminating him, grab his AK-74M to sell it for a good price. Then, return to your base camp and interact with Banshee from the list of vendors to complete the task.

Upon completion, you will receive the following rewards:

• MK18
• 1000 XP
• 150 Reputation with Banshee
