Spectre Divide is currently available in a closed playtest through Steam. The publisher, Mountaintop Studios, has ingrained special abilities in the game which makes it similar to Riot Games’ Valorant.

Since both shooters heavily rely on mechanical prowess, their sensitivity and aiming skills can translate from one to the other. How to set Spectre Divide sensitivity for Valorant players?

The overall sensitivities for both games appear to behave similarly. The in-game settings for keyboard and mouse inputs can be set at near about the same values. The best way to check this is by going to the practice mode for both games and using the following steps:

  • Launch Valorant and head over to the Firing Range.
  • Set a reference point and place the mouse on the edge of the mousepad or the area that is used for it.
  • Drag the mouse horizontally through the space till it reaches the next edge.
  • Make sure that you can execute a complete 360-degree turn while remaining in a single spot with this sensitivity. Tweak it till you reach the exact spot with a single end-to-end mouse movement.
  • Quit the game and boot up Spectre Divide’s practice range.
  • Input the same sensitivity that you used in Valorant to make the 360 turns and try to replicate it in Mountaintop’s latest shooter title.

Once these steps are completed, most players will notice that an almost exact sensitivity number works for both games. This means that users can simply use their Valorant sensitivity for Spectre Divide as well. However, minor adjustments might be required to fit personal preferences. Another deciding factor is also the game itself, the pace of the matches, and the construction of maps.

It is important to note that the entire method of comparing a 360-degree spin should be done with a constant DPI (Dots Per Inch) setting on the mouse. If players use different hardware settings, the resulting sensitivity must be adjusted accordingly.

For example, if a player uses 1600 DPI for Valorant with 1 sensitivity, the in-game sensitivity of the new 3v3 shooter would need to be configured at around 2 on 800 DPI.
