Before you can craft medicine, you will have to track down Xu Dog and complete his quest line. Xu Dog can be found just past the Village Entrance Keeper's Shrine in Chapter 2. Head back and down towards the rock formation from the viewpoint to find him. After talking to Xu Dog, you will learn that a Frog has swallowed a formula of his, which you must now retrieve.
You can find the boss near the ledge where Xu Dog is found. The miniboss, Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw does a few sweeping attacks with its tongue and will also jump into the air in an attempt to squash you. Defeating this boss won't be much trouble and you will receive several items once Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw has been dealt with. Now, head back to Xu Dog and tell him about your triumph over the frog.
Now, you can simply head back to any Keeper's Shrine, and you'll be able to find the options to "Make Medicines". You can also craft medicines by speaking to Xu Dog again near the cellar located right before Yellow Wind Sage. However, to craft different medicines, you will first have to acquire their respective recipes.

Once you find Xu Dog near the Cellar Keeper's Shrine, you will also be able to craft Celestial Medicines. These can be used to permanently upgrade your Health, Stamina, Attack Power, Stamina Recovery, Defense, and even your resistance to the different status effects. To craft Celestial Medicine in Black Myth Wukong, you will also need Mind Cores, which can be found in chests or by defeating enemies.
