Outposts are best described as resource-rich locations that you can exploit in-game. These resources can be sent back to your City to help indirectly Heat Homes and keep the population happy.

How to set up an Outpost in Frostpunk 2

To get the ball rolling, you must first find a certain area in the Frostlands that you can set up shop in. For this, you'll need Frostland Teams. Once an expedition has been sent out, they will reveal locations from where you can collect resources as well as those that can be colonized.

To set up an Outpost in the desired location, you must first check if the option is available, Click on the marker on the Frostlands map to check if you can build an Outpost. Once the option has been selected, you can build a Trail or Skyway from the Outpost to New London. This will allow you to start collecting the resources.

Keep in mind that Outposts are not free. You will need to maintain them and as such, they could put stress on your resources.
