Before you head in to face Louis, explore the Tyrant’s Star. Here, you will come across several elevators that will take you to Melancholia Crystals, where you must face the various humans you have encountered on your journey. Defeat these monsters and break the Melancholia Crystals, which will give you the best set of weapons in the game and significantly decrease Louis’s power.

After you are done with all of the crystals, head to the objective marker to challenge Louis Guibern.

Best Archetypes

• Prince
• Trickster
• Devil Summoner
• Persona Master

Devil Summoner and Persona Master go hand in hand as the latter can inflict weaknesses that the former can strike and gain press turns. Having a Healer Mask for your Persona Master will also aid in surviving.

The Prince archetype is exclusive to the protagonist and will act as your main damage dealer. You can use Faker/Trickster to remove buffs from Archdemon Louis and even inflict debuffs.

Archdemon Louis will attack you with Mudo/Dark Spells. Make sure that you equip Dark Resistance/Evasion passives on the Persona Master to deny him of gaining press turns often. He will also deal Slash/Strike Physical damage, so be on the lookout for that and use any item that negates physical attacks on team members with those weaknesses.
