How to find the Betrayal of Felassan

The Betrayal of Felassan boss is a level 32 enemy who will wait for you at the Crossroads. To access the arena where he is located, you will need to first obtain the Essence of the Champion of Gate of Deep Sorrows. This will unlock a new area in the Converged City island at the crossroads.

To unlock the Gate of Deep Sorrows, head to Treviso and beat Desmal, Bloodbound To Elgar'nan. This enemy is of level 25 so be careful while challenging it. After you have defeated Desmal and absorbed its essence, make your way to the Converged City and unlock the Gate of Deep Sorrows. Now, head down the path and you will need to fight off a few level 24 undead enemies.

At the end of the area, you will find the arena where the Betrayal of Felassan in Dragon Age The Veilguard will be waiting.

The Betrayal of Felassan has a few key attacks that you will need to watch out for.

• The Betrayal of Felassan is resistant to Ice but weak to Necrotic damage.
• He will use Ice spells to often attack you. Make sure to dodge these attacks.
• He will lunge at you with a spear. Make sure to parry when his spear is glowing golden and dodge when it's red.
• The Betrayal of Felassan boss will at times lock himself in a position and throw large ice projectiles at you. Try to disrupt this by slowing him down.
• The boss will often go into an invulnerable state to recharge his armor. Have your team focus on the mobs that will spawn while you target the boss himself.

Defeating the Betrayal of Felassan and unlocking the chest in the room will give you the following rewards.

• Revenant Essence (the boss drops it)
• The Burden Amulet (from the chest)

You can take the Revenant Essence to the entrance of the Crossroads and use it on the Corrupted Gate there. This is one of the three keys that you will need to complete the Heart of Corruption quest.
