How to defeat the Blazing Cutlass in Wuthering Waves

The Blazing Cutlass is one of the five Outlier Tacet Discord Enemies that have been introduced in the Wuthering Waves 1.3 update. It is a special level 120 opponent that can be found in the Black Shores region, and defeating it will add to your progress in the complete exploration of this new region.

The Blazing Cutlass has an enormous HP bar, and it constantly moves around the battlefield, making it a challenge for those fighting against it. Keeping that in mind, this article will provide a complete guide on how to defeat the Blazing Cutlass in Wuthering Waves.

In order to unlock the enemy, you must upgrade your Data Hub to at least level 2. Once the Blazing Cutlass has been unlocked, you can track it from the Data Hub page itself to locate it. Teleport to the Resonance Beacon southeast of Tethys Hub and head west, you will find the enemy in a small battle arena by a tower.

Enemy Overview

The Blazing Cutlass is an enhanced version of the Fusion Warrior enemy that you find in the overworld. Much Like its counterpart, the Blazing Cutlass has increased resistance to Fusion. This enemy's attack patterns are straightforward, and it does not have many attacks, but the challenge arises because it moves around the field a lot and attacks very quickly.

The enemy has two major attacks: if you move away from the enemy, it will lunge forward and try to impale you with one of its blades, and apart from that, it will do a 3-hit combo when you are in range. Dodging its attacks will become fairly easy once you get used to them and notice that you have plenty of time before the enemy strikes.

As mentioned above, the Blazing Cutlass has high resistance to the Fusion element. Keeping that in mind, it would be benot to bring Fusion damage-dealing units like Changli, Encore, and Mortefi. Here are some team recommendations that you can use:

• Shorekeeper, Yinlin, Jinhsi
• Shorekeeper, Yinlin, Xiangli Yao
• Verina, Zhezhi, Jinhsi
• Baizhi, Sanhua, Havoc Rover

Having a dedicated healer/buffer like Verina, Shorekeeper, and Baizhi will be important for survivability in case your team takes heavy damage from the opponent. The other two slots can be flexible as long as they are not occupied by a Fusion damage-dealing character. Calcharo, Jiyan, Jinhsi, and Xiangli Yao are all great options for a main DPS against this foe.

As tough and agile as the Blazing Cutlass is, it is important to remember that it is not an invincible enemy. Here are some additional tips and strategies that will allow you to have an easier time against this opponent:

• You must have a well-built and well-balanced team, including a main DPS with the best gear equipped that is available at your disposal and dedicated supports and sub-DPS unit that will aid your main damage-dealing character in battle.
• Patience is key in this battle. Getting hit by the enemy's attacks will cost you a big chunk of your HP. So, you must remember to take your time and wait for the right opportunity to dodge and counterattack.
• If you feel like you are having a tough time fighting the opponent, you can use food buffs that can aid you and increase your damage during battle.
