Although the boss doesn't have any super-powerful moves, outside of one finisher, or cheap "one-shot" tricks, it still can be quite a hassle to deal with, mostly due to its inflated HP bar.

Tips to easily defeat Captain Wise-Voice in Black Myth Wukong

Captain Wise-Voice is essentially the final boss of the Pagoda Realm region within Black Myth Wukong's Chapter 3 - The New West. Apart from serving as the gatekeeper for the rest of the Turtle Island area, Captain Wise-Voice serves as one of the Spirits that you need to capture in order to complete the Prisoner's questline.

Most of Captain Wise-Voice's attacks, just like the other two Captains - Captain Lotus-Vision and Captain Kalpa-Wave, are projectile and AOE-based. As such, using the Pillar Stance offers the most advantage here. Furthermore, the boss is extremely resilient to elemental build-up, hence most of your damage is going to come from varied combos.

That said, Captain Wise-Voice recently got nerfed in the most recent title update for Black Myth Wukong. The nerf mostly affected the boss' unnecessarily large health pool and not its aggression. As such, you still need to employ the same strategies that you normally would for the pre-patch version of the boss.

Here are some tips that should help you against Captain Wise-Voice in Black Myth Wukong:

• As soon as you enter the boss fight arena, lock on to the right front foot of the boss and use Immobilize. Attack the front foot until you can deal damage to it via a light combo finisher.
• Follow the combo finisher with either a varied combo or your Spirit ability. For the Spirit, Wandering Wight is highly recommended against Captain Wise-Voice.
• Once you deal enough damage to the boss, it will collapse. Before the boss falls to the ground, move away by disengaging the lock-on.
• Once the boss falls, move in, lock onto the head, and dish out damage using light combo finisher, varied combos as well as charged-heavy attack.
• You ideally need to repeat this process three times to defeat Captain Wise-Voice.
• Once the boss rises again, it will start using homing lasers and lightning AOE attacks that inflict Shock damage.
• Do not attack the boss when it's using the laser attacks, as it can easily catch you off-guard, stagger, and then kill you.
• Instead, it's best to sprint around the arena until the lasers persist. Once the Captain stops using the laser attacks, it will end that combo with a massive ground-based AOE.
• You can avoid the AOE by dodging the boss at the right time or using the charged-heavy attack of the Pillar Stance.
• Repeat the cycle of attacking the boss' foot, staggering it, and then dealing damage to its head, to ultimately defeat it.
