Commander Beetle can be found teaching his disciples right outside the Temple of Flowers. To get there, you need to start at the Forest of Felicity Keeper’s Shrine and head straight. After defeating two Monk Guais and a snake, you can head up the stairs on your right.

Before you even engage Commander Beetle, you should focus on finishing off his disciples. To do so, we’ll be using the Immobilize spell, the A Pluck of Many spell, the Golden Lining transformation, and the Earth Wolf spirit. Here are some tips to help you defeat Commander Beetle:

• As soon as you approach the arena, immobilize the disciple in front of you and cast A Pluck of Many. Now, you and your duplicates will be able to make short work of the disciples and put all your focus on Commander Beetle.
• Commander Beetle’s attacks are slow and easy to read, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble dodging them.
• Commander Beetle will sometimes use projectiles to deal poison damage, these are easily avoided by using Staff Spin.
• When Commander Beetle uses his swords to do sweeping attacks, his swings will be followed by a wind shockwave, so it is best to dodge away from the boss.
• Once the disciples have been dealt with, use your built-up Focus points to land a devastating Heavy Attack and follow it up with the Earth Wolf spirit. This will help you take a good chunk of Commander Beetle’s health away
• Now, you can use the Golden Lining transformation, if used correctly you can even finish the fight before the transformation is undone.
• If you fail to finish him off, you can simply use Cloudstep and land a few more hits to bring an end to the fight.
