Enemy overview
The Cyclone Swarm is essentially an enhanced variation of the Cruisewing Tacet Discords that you find in the overworld of Wuthering Waves. They are basically three Cruisewing enemies with a much higher HP and some special abilities that they can utilize in combat.
When in combat, the Cyclone Swarm's only attack is to shoot projectiles at the opponent. These projectiles travel slowly, so it is fairly easy to dodge them. Apart from that, when they are not being attacked, they will fly higher than usual and start to heal each other, restoring a big chunk of their HP.
The key to winning against these enemies is to keep attacking them so that they cannot heal each other. Do watch out for the projectiles as well, since they impart a great deal of damage.
Team recommendations
Much like a Cruisewing, the Cyclone Swarm has increased resistance to the Spectro element. Hence it is not recommended that you bring a Spectro damage-dealing unit like Jinhsi or the Spectro-Rover to this fight. Here are some team recommendations that you can use:
- Shorekeeper, Yinlin, Changli.
- Verina, Mortefi, Jiyan.
- Shorekeeper, Yinlin, Xiangli Yao.
- Shorekeeper, Changli, Encore.
For those who do not have access to the Shorekeeper and Verina, Baizhi or Jianxin can be viable options for a support unit. Apart from that, any non-Spectro damage-dealing unit, especially for a main DPS like Calcharo, Jiyan, Changli, and Encore, will work well against this foe.
Tips and strategies
The Cyclone Swarm is a fairly easy enemy to defeat as compared to the other five Outlier Tacet Discords. But it can be a bit challenging to avoid this enemy's attacks, especially from close range. Here are some additional tips and strategies that you can use to overpower the Cyclone Swarm:
- Ensure that you have a well-built team that has the best gear equipped. A team with good support and a sub-DPS that aids your main damage dealer in combat will be necessary for a balanced team.
- Keep in mind that at close range, it may be difficult to avoid the enemy's projectiles. Choosing a main DPS that is agile and moves around the field a lot, like Changli or Jiyan, will make it easier to avoid the projectiles.
- It is important to note that if you keep attacking the enemy, it will not be able to heal itself and will also fall to the ground and become immobile. Using that to your advantage will be essential in this fight.
- If you are having trouble defeating the enemy, you can always use food buffs that can increase your DEF and give you buffs that will increase your damage.
Rewards
Defeating the Cyclone Swarm will reward you with 'The Perfect Storm' trophy, and also unlock the three Standard, Advanced, and Premium Supply Chests nearby.
