Dancer of Ranah is an optional boss that you can find on an isolated island near the Cerulean Coast in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. Elden Ring is no stranger to hiding some of the best boss fights in optional areas, the same is true for the DLC as well. In fact, a majority of overworld and Remembrances bosses in the expansion are—technically speaking—optional.

As you explore the Shadow Realm, you will come across several overworld bosses, starting from the Furnace Golems to Red Runebears, to humanoid specters that are trapped within designated Mausoleums. One such Mausoleum at the edge of the southern edge of the Shadow Realm houses the Dancer of Ranah.

Here's a comprehensive guide on how to find and defeat the Dancer of Ranah in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

Where to find Dancer of Ranah in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?

Dancer of Ranah can be found in the Southern Nameless Mausoleum, which is accessible from the Cerulean Coast West Site of Grace. While finding the Nameless Mausoleum isn't necessarily difficult, reaching the Cerulean Coast can be a bit tricky. That said, if you're thorough with your exploration of Scadu Altus and Gravesite Plains, you will eventually stumble upon Cerulean Coast, eventually.

Fortunately, you can reach the Cerulean Coast as soon as you make your way to Scadu Altus. Reaching Scadu Altus requires you to defeat Rellana, Twin Moon Knight. Once you reach Scadu Altus, head to the eastern edge of the map, and you will eventually reach the Cerulean Coast.

Within the Cerulean Coast, you must make your way to the western coast, which leads you to an underground cave that opens up to a separate island near the Cerulean Coast, which is where you will find the Southern Nameless Mausoleum, i.e., the boss area for the Dancer of Ranah.

Tips to defeat Dancer of Ranah in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

Dancer of Ranah isn't a particularly challenging boss, especially if you tackle the Cerulean Coast with adequate Scadutree Blessing levels. It is highly recommended that you get your Scadutree Blessing level to at least 10 before you head into the Cerulean Coast and its neighboring regions. Additionally, some weapons types can help you against this boss.

Much like the Blackgaol Knight, Dancer of Ranah is a humanoid spirit that is incredibly susceptible to "posture-break" if you hit her with multiple charged heavy attacks. Colossal Weapons in particular come in incredibly handy against the Dancer of Ranah in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

While none of the Dancer's attacks are particularly lethal or hard to dodge, she does have a combo (Unending Dance) that can trap you in a stagger loop. This can eventually end up being your demise. However, this combo is very well-telegraphed and easy to dodge. If you're using a shield, you can also attempt to parry this attack.

Once defeated, Dancer of Ranah drops her weapon—the Dancing Blade of Ranah. It is quite powerful if used with a Dexterity-focused build. The only downside of these blades is the lack of Bleed build-up as well as the ability to alter the default Ash of War.
