How to Find the Fall of the Protector

Similar to other Revenants like Slaughter of the Pillars or Betrayal of Felassan, the Fall of the Protector boss will wait for you beyond a blighted gate that can only be unlocked using a champion's essence. It is also likely that he will be the very last Revenant you face since he is at level 42.

You can find the Champion's Essence for the Gate of Pale Reflections in the Hossberg Wetlands region. Fast travel to the Solitude's Edge beacon and you will be able to spot a giant Blight Cyst. Destroy it to summon the champion, Amarell the Unwoven. This is a level 35 Blighted Orc that can prove to be quite the challenge

When fighting Amarell the Unwoven use dodge and parry to keep yourself safe. You should also bring Davrin or Taash into this fight since the champion is weak to fire. Once you defeat it, the Orc will will drop the Champion's Essence and you can take it back to the Crossroads to open the Gate of Pale Reflections.

The gate in question is located in the Heights of Athim region in Dragon Age The Veilguard. It will be locked by blight that you can remove by destroying nearby blight spots. After you are done, use the Champion's Essence to unlock it.

How to Defeat the Fall of the Protector

The Fall of the Protector in Dragon Age The Veilguard is a level 42 boss who will put your skills to the test. Make sure that you are at least 38+ before challenging this Revenant.

• Before you engage the Fall of the Protector in Dragon Age The Veilguard in combat, you will need to defeat an Undead Horde.
• The Horde has one large health bar and defeating each enemy reduces the bar.
• Once you defeat the horde, the Fall of the Protector will join the battle.
• He is vulnerable to cold but resists fire.
• This boss also has a plethora of Ice attacks in his arsenal as he can blast you with a beam of ice, summon icy spikes in an area, and throw icy projectiles at you.
• Make sure to dodge the Blight bombs (Indicated by red areas) that the boss will summon.
• Similar to the other Revenants, the boss will try to recharge its shield by going to the fade tear. This is where you must use your abilities to disrupt him.
