Tied with the Pinnacle of its Kind quest, this boss fight is extremely challenging due to the dragon being of Level 40, and you should only try to defeat it when you are at least 35 or more. The Formless One is a Level 40 High Dragon in Dragon Age The Veilguard. Using Lightning and controlling hordes of Undead, this boss will wait for you in an arena in the Grand Necropolis of Nevarra. But before you can face off this dragon, you must complete a set of quests to gain access to the arena.

First, travel to the Grand Necropolis, which will be unlocked after you recruit Emmrich. Then go to the Central Hall and talk to Myrna, who will task you with clearing a room full of enemies. To unlock the room, you must solve a small puzzle where you will need to guide four wisps to skeletons.

After unlocking the room, head in and defeat the various monsters waiting within. After emerging victorious, you will find a mysterious voice speaking to you from behind a large door. Interact with the door to receive the Pinnacle of its Kind quest.

Now you will be tasked with getting rid of three demonic spirits located in the following areas in Dragon Age The Veilguard.

• Hossberg Wetlands
• Arlathan Forest
• Dock Town

Return to the Necropolis and you will find the door unlocked. Head in and you will find the Formless One in Dragon Age The Veilguard waiting for you in the arena. Here are a few key tips to defeat the possessed high dragon.

• Necrotic abilities will help you greatly against this boss. If you are not using a Necrotic build, make sure to include party members who have such abilities.
• Dodge the incoming lightning bolts before the dragon lands in the arena. Once it lands, make sure to target the glowing body parts. This will allow you to damage it quickly.
• Save your ultimate till you can stagger the dragon. Once staggered, unleash your full force on the glowing weak area around its chest.
• The Dragon will often fly away and sit on a perch to release a strong attack. Instead of attacking, quickly run in the opposite direction to avoid taking damage.
• Make sure to keep up your onslaught as the Dragon can recharge its armor.
• It can also summon undead hordes. Allow your party members to clean up the mobs while you prioritize the Formless One in Dragon Age The Veilguard.
