The Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master is arguably one of the toughest bosses in Black Myth Wukong, at least until you reach Chapter 6 (Mount Huaguo). Not only does the boss hit like a freight train with every single one of his attacks and combos, but he also has access to Spells that can debuff the Destined One, making him more vulnerable to lethal attacks.
However, if you explore Chapter 4 thoroughly, and also complete the optional area - The Purple Cloud Mountain, you will be rewarded with a special Vessel that helps against the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master. Furthermore, the boss is also extremely weak to elemental attacks, which is something you can exploit to inflict additional damage.
Here's a comprehensive guide on how to easily defeat the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master in Black Myth Wukong.

Tips to easily defeat the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master in Black Myth Wukong
The Hundred-Eyed Daoist boasts a massive HP bar, which coupled with his increased Defenses against elemental build-up makes it feel like a battle of attrition. Furthermore, the boss has access to magical attacks, which inflict Shock damage, limiting the Destined One's Stamina recovery as well as movement and dodge speed.
And to top it all off, the Hundred-Eyed Daoist has a second phase where he can cut the total Stamina of the Destined One in half, limiting the amount of attacks you can do in a single combo. Thankfully, most of the boss' attacks can be easily countered with the right Stance, as well as the Weaver's Needle Vessel.
The Weaver's Needle is obtained after completing the optional secret area in Black Myth Wukong's Chapter 4 - Purple Cloud Mountain and defeating The Duskveil. Once you obtain the Weaver's Needle, you can use it to essentially nullify and completely skip the second phase of the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master boss fight, trivializing the battle.
Here are some tips to help you against the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master in Black Myth Wukong:
- The Spells you want to use against the Hundred-Eyed Daoist are Immobilize, Cloud Step, and if you are confident with your dodge timings then, Spell Binder.
- Immobilize and Cloud Step both come incredibly handy as defensive tools that you can use to either extend your light-attack combos or get out of a tricky situation.
- Spell Binder, on the other hand, limits the boss' Thunder-imbued attacks in the first phase, while also increasing your base attack power significantly. However, using Spell Binder means you won't have access to other Spells, Transformations, Vessles, and Spirit abilities.
- Spell Binder is incredibly useful in the second phase of the fight, where the boss' defenses are lowered. However, since you cannot rely on other Spells upon casting Spell Binder, it can make the battle a bit tough, at least in the first phase.
- If you do end up relying on Spell Binder, it's highly recommended to use the Spirit, Vessel, and Transformation abilities in the first phase before casting the Spell.
- If you don't want to use Spell Binder, then the Weaver's Needle is extremely important for this battle.
- For the first phase, rely on your Spells and charged-heavy attacks to dish out damage. For Stance, you'd want to go for the Thrust or Pillar Stance as they offer superior defensive options compared to Smash.
- Additionally, try to stick close to the left side of the boss, which will make it much easier to dodge most of his projectile attacks as well as grabs.
- Once the Hundred-Eyed Daoist transitions to the second phase, quickly use the Weaver's Needle to completely skip that phase and also stagger the boss for a few seconds.
After defeating the Hundred-Eyed Daoist, you will be rewarded with the fourth Relic, as well as a Kun Steel, which is a mythical tier resource needed to upgrade and craft powerful end-game weapons in Black Myth Wukong.
