Start the quest

This boss will appear in the quest titled "Echoes of the Sandsea". Once you've rescued Zinikr from the Frozen Tundra, a giant blue orb will appear in the Sandsea; interact with it to start the mission.

The Voice Crystals

After entering the orb, you'll be tasked with finding the Voice Crystals scattered around the Uzra. Here are their locations:

Voice Crystal	Location
Voice Crystal #1	At the beginning of the bridge.
Voice Crystal #2	Besides the stairs, after you exit the bridge.
Voice Crystal #3	In Cheryl's Room, Uzra.
Voice Crystal #4	The last room of the engine.

Following this, a large crystal will appear in the main engine room. This is where you'll face Shadow of Yim in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension.

Party set-up

Your fight party should comprise of Leo, Tan, Zinikr, Ez, and Valrika. Unlocking these skills in their respective Growth Maps will make the fight go smoothly.

Equipping Rubies and Emeralds is highly recommended for this fight. Having a Moss and Phantom Quartz on either Kina or Valrika can also help negate Seal and Curse effects on the team healers. Tan will be on damage-dealing duty in this fight.

The fight

Yim will start the battle with elemental attacks that will either attack one party member or all of them. The order is random and the elements alternate constantly. After some time, she'll use Nihil Summoning. This move summons Demi Sandphins, which are much more resistant than their regular counterparts.

However, the move to look out for is her follow-up, Nihil Calamity, which sucks up any remaining enemies and throws them at the party. Even a single enemy thrown through Calamity can deal massive damage, so make sure to destroy them all before this move has a chance to activate. Use Cheryl or Valrika to slow Yim down. Arrow Rain, Adolfo Slash, and Impact can be useful here. Make sure to eliminate the Sandphins before you focus on the boss.

The next move in her arsenal will be Nihil Despair. It casts Curse and Seal on the entire party, blocking any magic or buffs. The Moss and Phantom Quartz will come in handy here.

However, Yim's most terrifying move can be Distortion of Reality. She will create duplicates of herself and swap rapidly between them to blend in. Attacking the clones will make them explode, dealing a huge chunk of damage to your party. She will also perform Reset, removing all debuffs previously applied on her, except Taunt. As such, use Zinikr's Taunt to separate the clones from the real Yim.

Once her HP gets low, she will perform Nihil Rampage, allowing her two moves in one turn. While this will make the fight much harder, her pattern won't change, meaning you can follow the same strategies in this phase of the fight as well. Keep going, and Shadow of Yim in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension will ultimately fall.

After defeating Shadow of Yim in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension, Zinikr will get an upgrade to his Divine Artefact.
