You will come across Esselings in certain areas of Miraland or while completing quests in Infinity Nikki. They usually appear in groups, so spotting them wouldn’t be difficult. Just listen to the audio cue as the game switches the soundtrack when you are near them.

With the ability to block attacks, Shielded Esselings are resilient to brute force. Moreover, striking them from the front will be ineffective. Hence, your best option here would be to swiftly run behind them and launch an attack.

Despite their small appearance, this particular species of enemies is quite agile. This means they can quickly turn to defend themselves. Try jumping over their head to position yourself behind them for a sneak attack. While in the air, you can use the purify slam to land on their back and wipe them out.

Shooting the shield will also stun them, granting you enough time to attack their vulnerable spot. If you are still unable to defeat the Shielded Esselings in Infinity Nikki, resort to Whim Fragrances. They are equippable items that grant different effects.

You must use the “Immersed In Thoughts” Fragrance, in particular, against Shielded Esselings. The item can be crafted using the following materials:

• Forest Whisper x1
• Thread of Purity x50
