In Metaphor ReFantazio, Sogne the Icebound can inflict Freeze debuff on you, lowering your attacks and defense. There are a few key strategies that you can use to take down the dragon, but it all depends on what resource you have obtained as you fought your way through the King’s election.

Recommended Archetypes

• Any Warrior lineage
• Faker
• Masked Dancer with Healer mask
• Magic Knight

The Warrior archetype has access to many skills that will allow you to deal physical damage during the fight's first phase. You can use Faker on the Protagonist and Warrior on Strohl for this boss battle.

Faker gives you access to the Faker’s Roguery spell, which can give you more turns. This will let you be on the offense fully for a longer duration.

Masked Dancer with Healer has two advantages. The first is obviously the healing skills with the added bonus of debuff cleansing Patra spell. The second is access to fire spells, which you will need.

Using Faker’s Roguery at the end of turns

You can gain press turns by hitting the dragon with fire spells. When you are at the very end of your turn, and if it lands on your party member with the Faker archetype, try to use the skill to gain extra turns.

Using debuff cleansers

Debuff cleansers will come in handy when you are afflicted with frozen debuff. If you are running low on these items, you can just use Patra to cure your main damage dealer, likely the party member holding the Mage lineage.

Using Magic Guard

Magic Guard is a synthesis skill for the Knight lineage. You can use it to survive the incoming attacks from Sogne the Icebound in Metaphor ReFantazio.

Use physical skill when Rella casts a magic barrier on Sogne
