The Wandering Wight is one of the first mini-bosses you will face in Black Myth Wukong, and that's bound to be a roadblock for players. While the moveset of this boss isn't all that difficult to counter, the sheer damage each of his attacks deals can be intimidating, at least in the opening hours of the game. Additionally, the Wandering Wight has a massive HP bar, which will take quite a bit of effort and time to deplete.
Although it's very much possible to defeat the Wandering Wight the very first time you face it, he's not meant to be tackled until you're at least Level 10-15, and have acquired at least one Transformation. However, even after leveling up and utilizing your available spells, the Wandering Wight is still a force to be reckoned with.
Here's a comprehensive guide on how to easily defeat the Wandering Wight in Black Myth Wukong.

Tips to easily defeat the Wandering Wight in Black Myth Wukong
Before you fight the Wandering Wight, I highly recommend defeating Guangzhi and getting his Transformation, Red Tides. The Guangzhi Transformation allows you to deal fire damage to enemies, something the boss is extremely susceptible to.
In addition to that, Transformations have their own health bars, and hence give you a brief window of respite without the fear of taking lethal damage.
In addition to Red Tides Transformation, I also highly suggest upgrading your basic stance attacks, i.e., the heavy attack to deal more damage with Focus consumed. Also, if you have Black Myth Wukong's Deluxe Edition or the pre-order bonuses available, use them, they do provide a slight boost to your overall defenses.
Once you're ready and have your Transformation ability at hand, head to Wandering Wight's boss arena. The Wandering Wight always starts the battle with a head-slam attack, followed by a tier-1 AOE (are-of-effect). Don't rush the boss right away, instead, keep yourself at medium distance and only attack after the boss is finished with his combos.
Remember you cannot dodge the AOE at close range. The only way to avoid getting hit by the aftershock of the head slam is to sprint away from the boss. Thankfully, the Wandering Wight isn't agile enough to follow you while sprinting. Another very important tool against the Wandering Wight is Immobilize.
However, don't spam Immobilize, instead use it only when you see an opening. I recommend using Immobilize at the end of a light-attack combo, and only after you have your Focus bar fully charged. After using Immobilize, follow it up with a fill light attack combo, and then finish it with a Focus attack (charged-heavy attack) to deal a ton of damage.
Once defeated, you will get access to his Spirit, which allows you to transform into the boss for a short instance and use his head-slam attack. The Wandering Wight's Spirit is incredibly powerful, especially in the early chapters of Black Myth Wukong as it also increases your defense.
