The Whiteclad Noble is one of the toughest early-game bosses in Black Myth Wukong. As the very first multi-phase boss fight in the game, the Whiteclad Noble poses quite a challenge, especially for the opening hours of the game. However, if you play your cards right and use all the resources available to you, defeating the Whiteclad Noble isn't all that difficult.
The biggest issue most players will face against the Whiteclad Noble is his delayed and ranged attacks, which can catch you off guard, especially when you're trying to heal or execute a perfect dodge. Thankfully, most of the boss' moveset is extremely telegraphed, and with a bit of practice, you can defeat it easily.
Here's a comprehensive guide on how to defeat the Whiteclad Noble in Black Myth Wukong.

Tips to easily defeat the Whiteclad Noble in Black Myth Wukong
The first phase of the Whiteclad Noble is fairly straightforward since most of his attacks constitute wide sweeping slashes, mixed with a few overhead slams. If you try to run away from the boss, he can summon wave slashes that do have tracking but are quite easy to dodge, granted you have enough Stamina. Managing your Stamina efficiently is the key to defeating this boss.
What makes the battle against the Noble particularly challenging is his second phase, which has a full health bar, as well as entirely new movesets. Additionally, in this phase, the Whiteclad Noble gains significantly more defense and only takes damage from critical hits, or varied combos.
Here are a few tips that should help you against the Whiteclad Noble in Black Myth Wukong:
- Immobilize and Red Tides are incredibly important in this boss fight. However, make sure to not spam those Spells in the first phase.
- The first phase can be dealt with pretty easily simply with regular attacks and combos. I highly recommend investing a few points into the Martial Arts tree in Foundation, to make your light attacks more damaging.
- Additionally, upgrading the Smash Stance is also recommended.
- Always try to stay close or within medium distance from the boss, and only attack after he has finished his sweeping combos. Do note that you can jump through the sweeping attacks if you're not confident with your Perfect Dodge timings.
- Lastly, if you're having a hard time with the first phase, start the boss fight with Red Tides Transformation and inflict Burn on the boss. That way, your regular attacks will deal significantly more damage, and since you started the battle with the Transformation, your Might should reset easily by the time you reach the second phase.
- For the second phase, most of the strategies in the first phase still apply; however, instead of a medium distance, you will want to stay a bit further away from the boss this time around.
- In the second phase, the Noble always starts with a slash attack combo, which is a chain of roughly 7 attacks, that can technically "one-shot" you if you fail to dodge it.
- Do not engage the boss right from the get-go, instead, let him play out his combo and then use Immobilize to deal damage.
- I also highly recommend the use of the varied combos to easily melt the boss' healthbar.
- Lastly, always remember to save the Transformation for the end of the second phase, to ensure survivability.
Against the Whiteclad Noble, your best tool is the Perfect Dodge, and also Immobilize. Once you defeat the Whiteclad Noble, you can craft his armor set for the Destined One, which has a good amount of defense, and also a bonus perk that increases your damage when you're on water.
The armor's perk comes in incredibly handy when fighting the Toad bosses in the later chapter of Black Myth Wukong.
