Here are a few tips that will help you prevail against Yamata-no-Orochi in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance. Keep in mind that defeating the serpent will depend on the difficulty you are playing the game on.

1) Stock up on Phys Dampeners

Yamata-no-Orochi will have eight turns on his attacks and can gain more if it lands a critical hit on you. It will often land crit hits, allowing it to gain an advantage. To deny it of the press turns, use Phys Dampeners to block incoming Physical hits.

You can also use demons who can block physical hits if you run out of Phys Dampeners. But keep in mind that it is best to use a demon who can give party-wide Physical Attack block.

2) Have demons with Sleep, Confusion, and Poison

Yamata-no-Orochi in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance is vulnerable to status ailments like Sleep, Confusion, and Poison. This is a great way to deny the serpent of his turns.
